Caboolture
Caboolture Shire is one of the most exciting new tourist areas of Queensland's south-east.
It boasts enormous diversity ranging from scenic drives and mountain and rainforest bushwalks to beautiful sandy beaches and superb coastal facilities for fishing, swimming and a host of other aquatic sports. All this, just a 40 minute leisurely drive out of Brisbane.
Caboolture Shire is widely acknowledged as the fruit bowl of the southeast. Its rich farmlands produce many sub tropical fruits such as bananas, pineapples, paw paws and avocados. It is also Queensland's largest producer of strawberries.
Road-side stalls offering farm fresh fruit are a popular attraction for visitors as are the tourist drives into the mountains offering superb views of the rural countryside. To the west, rural towns such as Woodford and Wamuran offer their own special charm and character and excellent stopovers for a quiet stroll, a sumptuous Devonshire tea, tastings at the local wineries, or a browse through local shops and a range of tourist attractions.
Caboolture Morayfield Shire has a population of approximately 100,000 people and covers a large area from Burpengary in the south to Elimba in the north and west to Kilcoy. Average temperature is 28 degrees in summer and 20 degrees in winter.
Caboolture is recognised for its investment potential and affordability for first home buyers. New homes range from $240,000 for 3 bedroom duplexes to $350/$400,000 for 4 bedroom homes on family sized blocks. Established homes can be bought from $230,000 on 600 – 800sqm blocks. Mini acreage properties are also very popular with largest homes on 3/4 acre blocks selling for around $400,000. Residential land prices range from $170,000 - $200,000 for 600 – 800sqm blocks and 3/4 acre town water blocks are selling for $180,000 to $240,000.
